The Green Bay Packers offseason has been a whirlwind, thus far.
Aaron Rodgers’ future with the team is still undecided about where he will play next season.
Besides Rodgers, the status of many other key contributors is still undecided.
This morning, however, the team was able to lock down one of the staples of their offense.
A resolution: Instead of being released, Aaron Jones will be staying in Green Bay this season after the Packers and his agents, Drew Rosenaus and Ryan Matha, reached agreement on an $11 million salary for the 2023 season that includes an $8.52 million signing bonus. pic.twitter.com/QHIkiqTove

Aaron Jones is officially coming back to the Packers in 2023.
During the 2022 season, Jones continued his dominance on the field.
He racked up 1,121 rushing yards, which was the highest mark in his career.
Although his touchdowns were significantly diminished this year, only having two, that is more attributed to AJ Dillon’s goal-line efforts.
Jones was a big-time contributor in the Packers’ passing game, amassing 395 yards on 59 receptions, and added in five receiving touchdowns.
His impact on the team is invaluable, and the Packers recognized that this morning by re-signing him.
If Rodgers isn’t on the team in 2023, how will Jones be able to perform?
In his time with the Packers, Rodgers has been Jones’ quarterback, a system that is familiar to him.
We will soon see if Jones can adapt to a new style of offense if Rodgers doesn’t come back.
Jones is not only one of the Packers’ best players, but he is known around the surrounding community for his philanthropic efforts as well.
Last season, Jones was the Packers’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee.
He is well-liked within the organization, and by fans as well.
While the Packers have a lot of looming decisions, Jones’ contract is no longer one of them.NEXT: NFL Analyst Expects Big Changes With 1 NFL Team This Offseason
