All eyes have been on the New England Patriots and their QB situation.
Ever since Mac Jones suffered an ankle injury, the team has gone through a couple of QBs.
While Brian Hoyer took over, it was Bailey Zappe making waves as the backup QB after Hoyer suffered a concussion.
However, an NFL insider has news on Jones and his injury.
What is this information, and is this the end of Zappe fever for Patriots fans?
Jeff Howe Reports Jones Is Coming Back
According to Jeff Howe of the Athletic, Mac Jones will return to action on Monday night.
Barring a setback, Patriots QB Mac Jones is expected to start tomorrow night against the Bears, per source. Jones missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain.

While the starting QB has missed three games, the Patriots feel he’s ready to return.
However, Howe also notes how this only happens if there are no setbacks with his ankle injury.
With Jones making his return, Zappe fever is over for fans, as he turns the offense back over to Jones.
While Zappe went 2-0 in his two starts, it seems the Patriots don’t want a QB controversy.
But is this a wise choice as the Patriots offense has done well under Zappe?
Jones Was Looking Awful Before His Injury
Before his injury, Mac Jones wasn’t looking good for the Patriots.
He already has more interceptions (5) this season than touchdowns (2).
With Zappe showing fans how he can handle the pressure of NFL defenses, it’s best to leave him in.
Jones already left on an unpleasant note, as the last game he played saw him throwing three interceptions and no TDs.
Those mistakes cost the Patriots that game and could cost them on Monday night as well.
