After the injury to Damar Hamlin on Monday Night Football, many have questioned the status of the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills.
While we don’t necessarily have the answers to what that will mean for playoff seeding, the NFL has announced an update to tide us over until a final decision is made.

Week 18 will resume as planned.
The Bengals will play the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bills will play the New England Patriots.
Without the game between the Bengals and the Bills in the record books yet, the Bills currently hold a 12-3 record, and the Bengals are 11-4.
Both teams, along with the Kansas City Chiefs, are still in the hunt for the ever-elusive number one overall seed in the playoffs, granting that team home-field advantage throughout, and a first-round bye.
If it is decided by the NFL that the game between the Bills and Bengals will end up in a tie, the Chiefs will have the fast track to the number one overall playoff seed.
A lot will happen between now and Sunday, and there’s likely more speculation and updates to come.
For now, all we know is that the show must go on.
Week 18 will proceed as previously scheduled, and these two teams, along with many others, will be battling in this final week of the regular season.
Will either of these two teams be able to steal the number one overall seed?
Or, will the Chiefs hold that spot for yet another year, hosting even more games at Arrowhead Stadium?
