The New York Giants are getting closer to making some tough decisions during the 2023 NFL offseason.
Their toughest decision is about two star players who have contracts that will expire in 2023.
With the decision on them looming, one NFL insider is giving the scoop on the latest with these two players.
Ian Rapoport Reveals Possible Multi-Year Deal For Saquon Barkley And Daniel Jones
On NFL GameDay, Ian Rapoport talked about the desire of the Giants to keep both Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones.

With both players being “big reasons” behind the playoff hopes of the Giants, it’s Rapoport’s understanding these two “earned the right” to return in 2023.
However, he also reveals how the Giants want both players for beyond the 2023 season.
The details of a contract for either player won’t be known for a while, but the feeling is there will be a multi-year deal struck.
Rapoport also notes how if there isn’t a multi-year deal for both players, the Giants can use the franchise tag on one of the two players.
With the Giants declining to pick up Jones’ fifth-year option back in April 2022, they now are in a pickle with him.
Had they picked up his option, the team will only need to deal with Barkley and his contract.
However, the Giants didn’t feel comfortable giving him an extension based on his prior performance.
While Jones isn’t that impressive this season, he’s playing better than he did his last two seasons.
With everyone knowing the Giants will keep Barkley, it’s a shocker they want to keep Jones as well.
