Initially, the San Francisco 49ers were having a shaky offseason.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel requested a trade while quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is still on their books.
The team hoped that there will be takers for the veteran play-caller but his trade market dried up due to a recent shoulder surgery.
Still, the 49ers will go with Trey Lance as their starter regardless of Garoppolo’s status.
However, things are looking up in San Francisco’s camp with notable developments shared by NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport.

The 49ers Are In Business With Samuel And Bosa Showing Up
Having Samuel at minicamp signifies that he might be willing to work out a long-term deal with the 49ers.
That’s a massive development, considering that he was ready to play elsewhere because he did not like the way he was used on offense.
Niners general manager John Lynch couldn’t imagine trading away the player who set an NFL record for most rushing touchdowns in a season by a wide receiver.
However, he won’t come cheap because of the surging wide receiver market due to the deals signed by Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill.
Meanwhile, Bosa will be on his fourth season with the 49ers and will be eligible for a contract extension.
After getting 15.5 sacks and four forced fumbles last season, the former Ohio State standout also deserves to get top dollar.
With both players signifying their commitment to the franchise, it’s up to Lynch and the front office to offer them a contract worthy of their status.
