Aaron Rodgers has the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers waiting for his decision.
Most people believe he’s on the verge of letting the world know that he wants to wear Gotham green and take his talents to the Big Apple, but you never know with a player like him.
Pat McAfee announced that Rodgers would be in attendance and share his decision on his show on Wednesday, just a couple of hours before the start of the new league year.
But even though the Jets and Packers have reportedly been in talks over a potential Rodgers trade since the Super Bowl, NFL insider Adam Schefter believes it won’t be that simple to pull off.
.@AdamSchefter has the latest on Aaron Rodgers:
"I will not be surprised if Aaron Rodgers tells Pat McAfee, yes, that he wants to play for the Jets. But as you've been saying all week long, there are layers to this whole situation." pic.twitter.com/3QojctyHaq

Schefter points out that Rodgers could decide he wants to be in New York, but it’s not like he’s just going to snap his fingers and it’ll be done.
There are still layers and hurdles to get past before pulling off any trade.
Also, Rodgers reportedly gave the Jets a wishlist of the players he wants in New York before making a commitment, including the already-signed Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Marcedes Lewis, and Odell Beckham Jr.
The Jets will reportedly work around the clock to get those deals done now to get Rodgers the supporting cast he wants, but it’s still unclear how much the Packers will demand in return for their multi-time MVP.
So this drama might not be over today as most people expected.
