When the Minnesota Vikings selected Justin Jefferson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, they hoped he would turn into one of the best players in the NFL.
So far, Jefferson has been just that through three seasons.
He has three straight years of 1,400+ yards and has made three All-Pro teams.
When you think of the best wide receivers in the NFL you have to say his name.
But, all the production to start his career means the Vikings will have to pay him top dollar.
There are even some questions surfacing just how lucrative of a contract Jefferson will receive.
According to Dov Kleiman, NFL analyst Jeremy Fowler said Jefferson has a chance to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.

On a per-year basis, Tyreek Hill is the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL at $30 million per season.
There is no question Jefferson will surpass that number with his contract.
No player has put up the numbers that Jefferson has over the past three seasons.
Jefferson still has two more seasons under his current contract.
But it is safe to assume that the Vikings do not want to wait long to re-sign him.
We have seen plenty of teams in the past try to wait until the last second to extend one of their players.
More often than not that causes the player to become disgruntled.
The last thing the Vikings want is for their best player to be unhappy with them.
That is why it seems like a good bet that we see a massive deal coming Jefferson’s way soon.
