Howie Roseman gave a masterclass during the offseason, turning the Philadelphia Eagles into one of the biggest juggernauts in the National Football League.
But as improved as the roster seemed, some were still hesitant to give the Eagles the nod as contenders due to their quarterback situation.
Jalen Hurts had drawn mixed reviews during his brief NFL career, raising some doubts about his ceiling and potential.
But the Eagles made a big commitment to their gunslinger and it paid off in a big way, as he was an MVP candidate from day one, and led one of the most explosive offenses in the league throughout a nearly-perfect campaign.
That’s why it was key for them to get him back to full strength in time for the postseason.
Hurts had been dealing with a shoulder injury for the past month or so.
And even though you could do a lot worse than having Gardner Minshew as your backup, the Eagles struggled to find the endzone without their QB1 on the field.
Fortunately for them, Hurts has finally been scratched off the injury report for the first time in nearly 30 days, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

He should have no limitations when the Eagles host the surging New York Giants for a must-win clash in the Divisional Roud.
The Eagles have looked like the team to beat in the NFC for the entire season, and they’ll only go as far as their 24-year-old rising star can take them in the playoffs.
