The NFL world awaits reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers‘ decision for 2022.
While there’s a possibility of retirement, it seems like recent developments are leaning towards his return.
However, it is uncertain whether he will continue playing with the Green Bay Packers or suit up for another team.
If he remains in Green Bay, the four-time MVP is reportedly seeking a short-term deal that will make him the game’s highest-paid quarterback.
If he chooses the play elsewhere, the list of his potential destinations is short.
Even though it would be difficult to replace a player of his caliber, the Packers will have a smooth trade transaction should the quarterback choose that route, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared.
If Aaron Rodgers decides he wants to he traded, it will be easy enough to get it done. No need for the Packers to engage in trade talks before then. If Rodgers wants trade, he will get trade, quickly.

Schefter said, “With the start of the new league year 11 days away, the Packers still have not engaged in any trade scenarios regarding Aaron Rodgers and are awaiting their quarterback’s decision, per league sources.”
He continued, “If Aaron Rodgers decides he wants to be traded, it will be easy enough to get it done. No need for the Packers to engage in trade talks before then. If Rodgers wants trade, he will get trade, quickly.”
That could be the reason Rodgers is taking his time with his decision.
Besides, the Packers have the leverage during trade negotiations because they will be giving away one of the best players in today’s game.
Where Will Aaron Rodgers Play In 2022?
There’s still a chance that Rodgers will return to the Packers, especially if the team retains wide receiver Davante Adams.
But if he decides to be traded, the Denver Broncos are one of the likelier teams to get him because his former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, is already the head coach.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts are also possible destinations for him.
Finally, earlier reports about Rodgers looking for land in Nashville might be a hint that he will suit up for the Tennessee Titans.
