All things considered, the Miami Dolphins had quite a successful season, even having a chance to knock out the Buffalo Bills in their postseason debut.
They entered the campaign quite thin at several defensive positions, with CBs Trill Williams and Byron Jones nowhere to be found and then Nik Needham suffering a torn Achilles in Week Six.
Unsurprisingly, Needham’s season was cut short just a handful of games into his tenure in Miami, and there’s a chance he might not play another snap for Mike McDaniel’s team, as his contract was bound to expire at the end of the season.
So, with free agency looming around, the UTEP product took to Twitter to share a video of his rehab and workout to get ready to be back on the gridiron next season.

Needless to say, not many players are able to come back from a torn Achilles and be at the same level, so teams will be quite wary of making a run at the 26-year-old cornerback.
Needham was one of the best under-the-radar defensive players in the league, improving every year after entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
He hasn’t ruled out a return to the Dolphins next season, provided the team is interested in his services going forward.
The Dolphins recently signed Vic Fangio to serve as their new Defensive Coordinator, so he’ll need all hands on deck to improve their mediocre defense from last season.
Maybe, he won’t need to look that far to find some reinforcements.
