Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the most lovable NFL characters in recent years.
After all, how could you not like the quarterback that cheers for one of the teams he has played for while being topless in freezing temperatures?
Everywhere he goes, he is a well-appreciated locker room guy.
That’s why it’s hard to hear a negative story about him from the nine teams he played for.
While fans would love to see more of Fitzmagic, he retired this offseason after barely playing for the Washington Commanders in 2021.
After signing a one-year deal with the squad, he only played one game due to a season-ending hip injury.
But even though he won’t be taking the field as a player anymore, he still has a mark that may last for a long time.

The NFL on CBS’ official Twitter account shared that Fitzpatrick lags only Patrick Mahomes in the list of the most regular season games with at least 400 passing yards and four touchdowns since 2018.
The Kansas City Chiefs starter has four while Fitzpatrick has three.
Four other quarterbacks have two games of that nature apiece.
Such has been the career of the Harvard alumnus.
He’s a great quarterback when he’s in the zone, as proven during his magical comebacks with the 2020 Miami Dolphins.
But he falls short most of the time, leading to an NFL record nine teams throughout his 17-season career.
Fitzpatrick The Entertainer
But what he lacks in gamesmanship, Fitzpatrick compensates through entertainment.
His beard alone is a conversation starter among football fans and facial hair enthusiasts.
Likewise, his light-hearted demeanor makes him a fan favorite as well.
Therefore, Fitzpatrick will be missed not necessarily for the impressive stats.
Instead, fans would wish to have him back because he can charm a crowd.
