A lot of NFL fans couldn’t understand what was happening after former federal judge Sue Robinson handed down her recommendation for Deshaun Watson‘s plight.
The Pro Bowl quarterback was under investigation for violation of the league’s player conduct policy due to his sexual misconduct cases.
While Watson has settled most of those civil cases, the NFL wouldn’t let him off the hook easily.
Thus, the league and Watson’s camp presented cases on why he should get either an indefinite suspension or a lighter penalty.
Eventually, Robinson recommended a six-game suspension for Watson which is closer to what his camp and lawyer Jeffrey Kessler argued.
However, the league can argue the verdict before a final decision is made.
Regardless of the final outcome, the Atlanta Falcons have every reason to be angry.
In contrast, Calvin Ridley received a one-year suspension after gambling on a game he didn’t play in.
Calvin Ridley placed a legal bet on his team to win while not on the active roster and received a full season suspension.
Absolutely pathetic. https://t.co/v1Y5qIRLJO

This is not to say that gambling should be allowed among players.
But between sexual misconduct and gambling, the first one seems like it should warrant a harsher punishment.
Likewise, Watson had it easy compared to these other suspensions.
NFL suspensions:
Calvin Ridley: 17 games, betting
Vontaze Burfict: 12 games, targeting
DeAndre Hopkins: 6 games, PED
Martavis Bryant: Indefinitely, Weed
Josh Gordon: 25+ games, Weed
Darren Waller: 16 games, substance abuseDeShaun Watson: 6 games, 25 SV accusations

Ridley Should Be Given A Chance To Appeal His Case
If the NFL can appeal Robinson’s suggestion on Watson’s suspension, Ridley should also have an opportunity to have his case heard again.
It makes no sense that he gets suspended for a year while Watson may only get six games.
Tom Brady was suspended 4 games for the NFL not understanding science.
Calvin Ridley was suspended 1 year for gambling on the NFL.
Deshaun Watson was suspended 6 games for sexually assaulting more than 20 women.
I don’t think I can share my thoughts on this disgusting ruling.

Therefore, they should re-open Ridley’s verdict and give him a lighter punishment than Watson.
