The Philadelphia Eagles might be falling apart right before our eyes.
Fresh off a trip to the Super Bowl, they’ve already lost some key members of their coaching staff, and are at serious risk of watching several players walk away, including star DT Javon Hargrave.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles are reportedly parting ways with star cornerback Darius Slay.

Just a couple of days ago, the news broke of Slay being granted permission to seek a trade, with multiple teams — including divisional rivals Dallas Cowboys and his former team Detroit Lions — expected to make a run at him.
But it seems like they haven’t been able to find a trade suitor, most likely because of the fact that Slay is looking to sign a lucrative contract extension.
So, the Eagles decided to just cut ties with him while he’s still in the final year of his contract.
Needless to say, this was surprising news to most NFL fans, as Slay has been one of the best players in his position for years now.

There will be no shortage of teams lining up to acquire his services, and it seems kind of odd that a guy like Howie Roseman was unable to flip him for any assets.
All things considered, it seems like the Eagles might be a one-and-done team, as they’ll have a hard time competing at the highest level again if they continue to let their best players head out the door.
