Odell Beckham Jr. has not played an NFL snap since the 2021 Super Bowl.
In that game, Beckham tore his ACL and has been rehabbing ever since, working to get healthy enough to make a return to the league.
The 2023 NFL offseason thus far has been filled with storylines, rumors, and speculation.
From Beckham’s camp, recent news has indicated that he has continued conversations with the Dallas Cowboys, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
2x All-Pro WR Odell Beckham Jr. has had positive discussions with the #Cowboys, sources tell @theScore. There are several teams interested, but Dallas would like to make it work. I’m told OBJ is seeking a multi-year contract. pic.twitter.com/tGBihFtzR2

Last season, the Cowboys had just one wide receiver with more than 90 targets, which was CeeDee Lamb.
Noah Brown and Michael Gallup each received 74 targets.
While Brown and Gallup are impactful players, their lack of target share is concerning, as it indicates the potential that Dak Prescott doesn’t trust them with the ball.
Beckham could help alleviate those concerns if signed.
When this news broke, NFL fans took to Twitter to discuss their feelings on the situation.
Several of those fans were initially excited by this news, including this fan.

If Beckham does decide he wants to play for the Cowboys, it’ll be up to Jerry Jones to officially sign off on the contract.
Another fan believes that, by adding Beckham, the Cowboys put themselves in the best possible spot to win.

Despite some initial optimism, this potential move has also been highly criticized, and some fans have been skeptical.
I don’t know how to feel. Because at the end of the day we need a WR2. I love DHop a bit more but I wouldn’t be upset at OBJ since he’s healthy. It’s just scary and risky betting on him to stay healthy all season.

As this fan and many others have indicated, if Beckham is truly healthy, this seems like a win-win for the Cowboys.
If he is not, however, it could be an overpay, and the Cowboys could be right back where they started.
We … don’t… want… him…

This potential move has caused a division between Cowboys fans.
