The NFL offseason is expected to be full of quarterback drama.
The first big domino that people are waiting to fall is what Aaron Rodgers will decide to do.
But, there are also a few lesser quarterbacks that are looking for new homes as well.
One of them is former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield.
After playing well for the Rams at the end of last season, Mayfield should find himself another job this year.
One team that could use another quarterback is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Bucs would like to have Mayfield compete with Kyle Trask for the starting job next year.
When free agency begins, the #Bucs are expected to target ex-#Rams QB Baker Mayfield as a potential starting QB option, per me and @MikeGarafolo. This could be competition for Kyle Trask, their former 2nd-round pick, who the team likes a lot. As TB plots life without Tom Brady… pic.twitter.com/9PmbTG0tYW

Tampa Bay could end up being a good spot for Mayfield because they have plenty of good skilled players.
Baker in Tampa would be really fun. He’d be surrounded by some great receivers and a good young running back.

Mayfield needs to have good players around him to maximize his potential.
He has that with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rachaad White.
With those weapons, could be a big pickup or draft a QB in 2024 if Baker doesn’t work out!!

The worst-case scenario would be that Mayfield is a failure, and the Bucs look for their QB of the future in the 2024 draft.
But, playing in a bad NFC South, Mayfield can be good enough to allow the Bucs to compete.

At this point in his career, Mayfield seems to be a solid backup quarterback.
But, if a team is willing to give him a chance to start, he should take the opportunity.
So basically this is potentially the QB list:
Panthers: CJ Stroud
Saints: Derek Carr
Bucs: Baker Mayfield
Falcons: Desmond Ridder

The NFC South potential starting quarterbacks do not look very daunting in 2023.
So, if Mayfield does come to Tampa and win the starting job, the Bucs could repeat as division champs.NEXT: NFL Fans React To What Aaron Rodgers Said About Jets Rumors
