The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a big move at quarterback.
After losing Tom Brady to retirement, the Bucs found themselves in a peculiar spot at the most important position.
It seemed as if the Buccaneers were going to head into the season with Kyle Trask as the starter.
But, they have just added another big named QB to join the competition.
According to multiple reports, Tampa Bay has agreed to a one-year deal with Baker Mayfield.

This was a deal that we heard some whispers about over the past week.
Now, it has come to fruition.
Some people think Mayfield can still play and he just needs to have great players around him.
I like watching him play he just needs some players around him

Mayfield will now join a team with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rachaad White.
Those are good playmakers, and players Mayfield needs to get the ball to.
Some people are just excited to watch and see how Mayfield performs.
Not mad, will be watching

That’s where the Bucs are going wrong- they forget they gotta win

If nothing else, the ratings for Bucs games will once again be strong in 2023.
Fans want to see how Mayfield will perform on his fourth team.
It seems like this will be the final chance for Mayfield as a starter.
This signing is certainly not a strong endorsement of Trask.
It seems like the Bucs had no interest in turning the franchise over to him.
They must have zero faith in Trask

Mayfield playing well for the Rams at the end of last season may have saved his career.
He played himself into this deal with the Bucs, and now has another chance to start.
What a difference his stop in LA made for his career.

It will be interesting to see if Mayfield can save his career with the Buccaneers next season.
