The New York Jets have made their intentions about Aaron Rodgers very clear.
They’re looking for a significant upgrade at the quarterback position, and landing one of the most talented throwers of the football ever sure qualifies as that.
Rodgers was expected to be heavily sought-after this offseason after hinting at the possibility of leaving the Green Bay Packers, but the Jets seem to be one step ahead of the competition.
Now, multiple reports state that their meeting with Rodgers went quite well, and there’s been some growing optimism about the possibility of landing the future Hall of Famer.
With that in mind, NFL insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport state that the ball is officially in Rodgers’ court, and that it’ll all depend on whether he actually wants to be traded there.
The ball is in Aaron Rodgers' court. If he wants the #Jets, he'll tell the #Packers and they'll begin talks. Until then, we wait. https://t.co/LazBvO95gB

Should that be the case, then the Green Bay Packers are expected to willingly engage in talks with the Jets, as rumors stated that they weren’t that high on their veteran QB anymore, and fans have already started picturing him in Jets green.

First we #FinsUp had to deal with Brady. Now there is a chance Rodgers comes to the division. Ugh, we can't catch a break.

…just trade him, why wait for his approval. Trade him and if he decides to retire then, then we'll be done with this ongoing drama.

Rodgers’ relationship with GM Brian Gutekunst and the front office has been complicated for years, and it seems like they may have grown tired of his constant demands and threats of leaving the team.
The Packers have raved about Jordan Love and reportedly believe he’s ready to take a leap forward and be their starter next season.
But it will all depend on whether Rodgers has made up his mind about his future after weeks of contemplation, rumors, speculation, and even a retreat in the darkness.

LOVE SUX- He is not ready now or will he EVER be ready to do well for ANY NFL team.
He lacks talent, lacks the quick thinking and lacks support of anyone but the Packers Head Office…
