It is the day after Christmas, and it seems the New York Giants have no buyer’s remorse regarding their head coach or starting quarterback.
The 4-10 Giants are riding a three-game losing streak into Week 16.
Fans are beyond impatient trying to figure out how this team will turn it around for 2022.
While there will likely be offseason changes, none will involve Coach Judge or Daniel Jones.
They are both expected to stay in place as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
“The Giants believe both Judge and Jones deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their talents next season, even though New York already has been eliminated from the playoffs and has clinched a fifth consecutive season with double-digit losses.”

As expected, Giants fans had a variety of reactions to this news on social media.
People losing it on #Twitter With The News of Joe Judge and Daniel Jones Coming Back to the #NYG Organization. #Giants #Twitter looks like the Zombie Virus Exploded😂😂😂😂😂

Here are some of the most noteworthy.
1. Fans Are Expecting More Of The Same
Even before this news was officially announced, fans seemed to expect and be resigned to their fate of seeing more of the same from Daniel Jones next year in a Giants uniform.
I cannot wait until next season when the @Giants decide to give the keys back to #DanielJones & he flops again! #TogetherBlue pic.twitter.com/xsaDJP9G9S

2. News Was Shared With A Healthy Dose Of Sarcasm
Reporter Josh Houtz sarcastically wrote in his Tweet:
“The news every Giants fan wanted to hear the day after Christmas.”

3. It Does Not Make Sense
Then, there were the logical folks who tried to understand the method behind the madness given both Jones’ and Judge’s performances.
Make it make sense:
Mara wants Judge back another year to see what he can do
What can he do? We have almost no cap space, a below average QB, our best players are injury prone and we’re the worst team in the division
So when this team wins 5-7 games next year, then what???

A New GM Is Possible
The Giants have not shied away from the rumor that GM Dave Gettleman’s days could be numbered.
If that is true, perplexed fans are wondering how the Giants can make any coach or roster decisions until a new GM is hired.
Shouldn’t they let the new GM decide this? #Giants keep making the same mistakes. https://t.co/6YmwJZhgJ8

If the Giants have already decided to keep Jones and Judge, than what is the point of hiring a new GM?
This will be an unpopular tweet. If the Giants are planning to keep Coach Joe Judge and Quarterback Daniel Jones, they might as well keep GM Dave Gettleman.

Conclusion
Jones has been with the team since 2019 and Judge 2020.
Obviously, the Giants have not played well in years.
Fans are not incorrect in questioning the timing or logic of this decision.
The other NFC East teams (Dallas, Philadelphia, and Washington) appear to be moving in the right direction.
The Giants are not at this point in time which further fuels fan frustration.
