Wer ist bereit für etwas Fußball?
This is German for: Who’s ready for some football?
NFL executive Peter O’Reilly says the NFL will not play a game in Mexico next year because the stadium will undergo renovations for the World Cup. Thus, likely two games in Germany instead.

The NFL has announced that they will play two games in Germany in 2023.
Starting in 2007, the NFL began playing games in London, where they had one matchup per year, until 2011.
Fast forward to 2015, when the NFL and Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur F.C. reached an agreement that the NFL would have at least two games per season in their new stadium, which started during the 2019 season.
Since then, the NFL has played games in Mexico City, and most recently, Germany.
The first game in Germany happened this season and will expand to two games in 2023, as noted above.
Looking Ahead To Future International Appearances
After seeing the success of London, Mexico City, and Germany, other countries have made it known that they want to be a part of the action.
The NFL has launched initiatives with ten total countries, each of which will have teams represented in their respective markets.
Besides the aforementioned Germany, London, and Mexico, these other countries include Ghana, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, New Zealand, and Spain.
If these countries have stadiums that the NFL deems worthy, there is a good chance that they will be allowed to host games in the future.
The NFL is slowly becoming more of an international game.
Although soccer has dominated these markets in years past, it appears that the NFL is taking a stronghold, and more and more fans are being represented across the globe.
