The 2022 NFL season was rough for the Buffalo Bills, even though the team was in title contention and among the best of the best that the league had to offer.
The scariest moment in the NFL in a very long time took place when Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and appeared motionless until he had to be taken off the field with his life on the line, and all signs pointing to a disappointing end.
Hamlin was resuscitated on the field and came very close to death, which impacted him and the Bills franchise immensely.
Fortunately, Hamlin made a full recovery and is fully intent on continuing his playing career with the Bills and was recently named the winner of the 2023 George Halas Award, according to ESPN.

Hamlin’s recovery was nothing short of remarkable, and the fact that he may still be able to play football and continue his NFL career is nothing short of incredible.
Although there’s no telling whether Hamlin will genuinely be able to continue his playing career even though he’s been cleared by doctors, his journey to recovery has been inspiring and has given him a new lease on life.
It’ll be interesting to see where the story goes for Hamlin and the Bills, with Buffalo hoping to bounce back and compete for a title during the 2023 campaign.
Only time will tell if the Bills or another NFL team take the risk of putting Hamlin back on the field, but even if his playing days are over, he’s inspired the masses and can continue to inspire for the rest of his life.
