It’s been five seasons since the New York Giants last made the playoffs.
Worst yet, their last postseason victory came in 2011 when they won Super Bowl XLVI over the New England Patriots.
Since then, the franchise has fallen on hard times, with coaches Ben McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge not lasting for more than three seasons.
Former general manager Dave Gettleman also has a litany of blunders that further brought the team to the ground.
Coming into the 2022 season, the Mara family thought that a fresh start was due by replacing the retiring Gettleman with Joe Schoen.
They also went offensive-minded by hiring Brian Daboll from the Buffalo Bills.
But while they’ve changed their think tank, Schoen will still have to deal with the mess Gettleman created, as pointed out by NBC Sports’ Warren Sharp.
the most expensive WR room in 2022?
the New York Giants, at $40,152,615
the fewest TDs by a WR room in 2021?
the New York Giants, at 5 TDs
not only was it the fewest in 2021
it was the fewest by any WR room since 2017
and now they're the most expensive WR room in the NFL 😂

Sharp shared that the Giants will have the most expensive wide receiver room at $40,152,615.
Unfortunately, their receiving corps did not live up to expectations, collecting only five touchdowns last season.
It’s the fewest total among receiving groups since 2017.
In 2022, the Giants hope that Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, and Kenny Golladay will turn up their production.
Interconnected Problems For The Giants
It’s like the Giants’ concerns are linked to one another.
Aside from injuries, their wide receivers might have poorly performed, possibly because Daniel Jones isn’t the right guy at quarterback.
Daboll will have an opportunity to elevate his game which Judge failed to do.
However, the Giants’ offensive line is also a concern because of their shaky protection.
Without enough time to execute, Jones won’t find his wideouts downfield.
Giants fans hope that the Schoen and Daboll can rub off some of the magic from the Buffalo Bills to Big Blue.
