The Baker Mayfield era for the Carolina Panthers, while short-lived, is over.
The Panthers had traded for Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns a mere five months ago.
However, he and the team came to a mutual understanding today, and he has been since released by the club.
This has thrown the sports world into a frenzy, with each analyst wondering where he might end up.
The Los Angeles Rams are certainly an interesting destination.
Can absolutely see the Rams grabbing Baker Mayfield.

After losing Matthew Stafford to a potentially season-ending injury, the Rams are in desperate need of a leader in their locker room.
Is Los Angeles The Right Fit For Baker?
Mayfield is a former number-one overall pick by the Browns and certainly hadn’t lived up to the expectations that the Browns had for him.
While the Panthers weren’t a great fit for him either, one might wonder if LA is the spot for Mayfield to succeed.
Their top receiving weapon, Cooper Kupp, is currently out for the season with a high-ankle sprain.
Since Stafford’s exit, the Rams are 0-4 and have been led by Bryce Perkins and John Wolford.
Perkins went undrafted in 2020 and has been a backup for the Rams since he entered the league, starting in just one game.
Wolford has a bit more experience in the league, although, it hasn’t been the most successful.
He has started in three regular season games, and one playoff game.
Baker, on the other hand, has started in 65 career NFL games.
While the Rams may not even entertain the idea of acquiring Mayfield, he is certainly a better option at QB for the Rams than Wolford and Perkins.
