The keys to the success of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady aren’t much of a secret anymore.
First, he takes care of his body through rigid workouts and a strict diet.
Second, and more importantly, he understands that football is a team game and he can only do so much.
That’s why he never goes for the moon whenever he negotiates for contracts.
Throughout his 22-season career, his highest annual average value came in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, wherein he earned roughly $25 million annually.
That’s a huge bargain for a player of his stature and he had the right to demand more.
However, settling for that amount allowed the Buccaneers to sign the likes of Jason Pierre-Paul, Ndamukong Suh, Leonard Fournette, and Antonio Brown.
As a result, Brady added a seventh Super Bowl victory to his collection.
His low cap hit this year helped the Buccaneers re-sign Fournette and Chris Godwin to three-year extensions.
In some ways, Brady’s selflessness is what made him a beloved teammate, as The Draft Network’s JC Cornell pointed out.
Tom Brady’s top WR’s stay loyal to him and continue to chase the Lombardi.
Can’t say the same about Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes.

The Cap Broke Green Bay And Kansas City
Mahomes’ ten-year, $450 million deal limited Kansas City’s capacity to re-sign Tyreek Hill, especially after seeing Davante Adams‘ five-year, $141 million deal from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Thus, he asked for a trade to the Miami Dolphins and signed a four-year, $120 million deal.
Meanwhile, there’s no way the Packers can match what the Raiders gave Adams after giving Rodgers a new contract with an average annual value of around $50 million.
Both Mahomes and Rodgers deserved the money they will get because they’ve both won an MVP and a Super Bowl.
However, they might not enjoy the same level of sustained success that Brady continues to have because they failed to recognize other pieces in the puzzle.
