Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive Thursday night in a primetime showdown with the New York Jets.
On paper, the Colts should win this game easily given they are at home and the fact the Jets are still riding with Mike White at quarterback.
Yet White lit up the Cincinnati Bengals last week and Wentz has not exactly willed his team to a great record this year.
The Colts are 3-5 and in desperate need of a win.
One NFL Network analyst believes this game may actually be the turning point in Wentz’s career if he can’t find a way to win.
"I think it's a huge night, not only for Carson Wentz's season, but for Carson Wentz's career."

Is this dramatic to say?
That is tough to say because Wentz is playing hurt this year and the Colts aren’t a dominant defensive team.
However, it is fair to say Wentz would have some explaining to do if he can’t lead his team to a win over the lowly Jets on national television.
A Unique Situation
The Good Morning Football Team raised a fascinating point in the video shared above.
In the trade to acquire Wentz, the Colts sent a first-round pick to Philadelphia.
But they keep their first-rounder if Wentz plays in fewer than 75 percent of the team’s snaps.
Right now he is up near 100 percent.
So if they fall to 3-6 and can’t even beat the Jets, do they start to bench Wentz to lower his snap total?
It is a unique situation and one where the Colts and Wentz may have to work together for the betterment of the organization.

That conversation can wait until the doomsday scenario presents itself.
For now, Wentz must step up and prove he can at least lead his team over the worst teams in the NFL.
If he cannot, the Colts may be thinking about a new quarterback much sooner than expected.
