With the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles, Super Bowl LVII will feature a plethora of stars on both sides of the field.
The two best teams in the National Football League will square off for the ultimate glory and a chance to win their second Super Bowl in the past decade.
But according to NFL insider Kyle Brandt, there will be a star that’ll shine the brightest among all the incredibly talented players we’ll see on the gridiron come February 12, and that player is Patrick Mahomes:
“He’s the guy; he’s the standard,” Brandt said. It’s not Burrow; it’s not Allen; it’s not Lamar; it’s him.”

There’s no denying that Patrick Mahomes’ meteoric rise is pretty much unmatched in league history.
He’s already done enough merits to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he hasn’t even been in the league for a decade.
Some believe he’s already lost his shot at being considered the GOAT for losing in the Super Bowl to a 43-year-old Tom Brady a couple of seasons ago.
However, he does have a shot at having the most impressive résumé in NFL history once it’s all said and done.
Ever since he became a starter, the Chiefs have reached the AFC Championship Game at the very least, and he’s proven over and over to be a step ahead of other superstars like Joe Burrow, Joe Allen, and Lamar Jackson as the best quarterback in the Conference.
Also, he lost his WR1 Tyreek Hill this offseason and his numbers didn’t go down, silencing the doubters and leading his team to the biggest stage for the third time in his career.
So, yeah, this is Mahomes’ league until proven otherwise.
