Brian Flores deserves some credit for turning the Miami Dolphins into a competitive squad.
He led the team to 10 victories in 2020 and had one of the best defenses in the league that year.
Last season, the Dolphins finished at 9-8 after starting the season at 1-7.
Despite his successes, he alleged the Dolphins ownership of offering him $100,000 for every loss in what would amount to a tanking scheme.
Flores filed a lawsuit against the Dolphins but the court found no illegal actions from the team on that front, especially owner Stephen M. Ross.
The court cannot prove that such a set-up was offered to Flores.
In effect, the Dolphins said that Flores is lying and cannot be trusted.
But in some twist of fate, his former boss returns when the Dolphins face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I can't make this up, but Stephen Ross' first game back from his "suspension" will be when the Dolphins host the Steelers.
Ya know, the Steelers…who have Brian Flores on their staff.

“The Film Room’s” Brett Kollmann tweeted, “I can’t make this up, but Stephen Ross’ first game back from his ‘suspension’ will be when the Dolphins host the Steelers. Ya know, the Steelers…who have Brian Flores on their staff.”
If the league found his allegations against the Dolphins to be false, winning against them will give him retribution.
Remember, Ross is being suspended not for the alleged tanking.
Instead, he received a suspension due to tampering incidents with Tom Brady and Sean Payton.
Aside from the suspension, the Dolphins will have to forfeit their 2023 first-rounder and 2024 fourth-rounder due to tampering.
Defeating The Dolphins Could Be A Tall Order
While the Steelers have the defensive unit that can neutralize any opponent, they may have a hard time against the Dolphins.
They have upgraded their offense with Cedrick Wilson, Chase Edmonds, and Tyreek Hill.
Therefore, Flores’ linebackers will have their hands full against Miami.
But with reigning Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt on their side, the Dolphins might also have a hard time executing their plays.
