The DeAndre Hopkins sweepstakes has been one of the most highly-discussed topics of the 2023 NFL offseason.
He’s been linked to several teams up to this point but remains unsigned, and on the market.
After he met with the New England Patriots, many believed that he was certain to sign with them.
However, a recent report by Sal Paolantonio via Brad Stainbrook indicates that the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers are still in the mix.
While the New England Patriots sound like the leaders, the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers are still lurking on DeAndre Hopkins, per Sal Paolantonio on ESPN Radio.

Despite being suspended for half of the season in 2022, Hopkins showcased his skills in the games that he played in.
Throughout the offseason, the question with Hopkins hasn’t been about his play, but rather, about his contract.
He’s likely in search of top dollar from a potential suitor, which could be a major problem.
If Hopkins wants the type of money that A.J. Brown and Cooper Kupp got, will a team be willing to give that to him?
He’s 31 years old, meaning that his time in the NFL is numbered.
However, if he’s able to contribute enough to a team, helping lead them to a playoff run, any amount of money might be worth it.
Each of the teams listed above needs an alpha receiver, and Hopkins could fill that role.
The Patriots did sign JuJu Smith-Schuster in the offseason, but his injuries could keep him from unlocking his potential.
The Browns and Panthers both made significant moves on offense, but adding Hopkins would be a massive upgrade.
There is only one team that can land Hopkins.
Who will it be?
