The Pittsburgh Steelers are facing the unknown after longtime quarterback Ben Roethlisberger retired.
That concern is crucial to whether the team will enjoy success or not in 2022.
Head coach Mike Tomlin would like to keep the team’s winning ways going, especially since he hasn’t experienced a losing season in Pittsburgh.
But for now, they hope that either Mitchell Trubisky or Kenny Pickett will pan out.
Trubisky will compete for the starting role a year after being Josh Allen‘s backup with the Buffalo Bills.
While he did not play much in 2021, his stock increased among NFL teams that he even got a two-year deal.
Meanwhile, the Steelers made Pickett the only quarterback selected in round one of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The team hopes that he can bring his game from the Pitt Panthers to their pro football neighbors.
The lack of an elite play-caller puts a cloud of doubt on their campaign.
However, “Good Morning Football” host Kyle Brandt sees no reason to worry.

Brandt doesn’t see them losing that much because winning is innate in the franchise.
Just take last season when they were counted out from the playoffs.
However, they found a way to give Roethlisberger his final postseason appearance.
The Steelers Have Solid Units On Both Sides
It would still be difficult to defeat the Steelers because they have talented players on offense.
Najeh Harris is a versatile running back while they have Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, and Pat Freiermuth as their top receivers.
But their defense is on another level with Cameron Hayward, Alex Highsmith, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and reigning Defensive Player of the Year TJ Watt.
Therefore, Brandt’s confidence with the Steelers does have merit.
However, they would have to grind it out in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions if they are to enter the postseason.
