The Philadelphia Eagles have an MVP candidate again.
Jalen Hurts, their quarterback, is having a banner year and is one of the main reasons that they currently hold an 11-1 record.
In 2017, Carson Wentz was leading the MVP conversation before his December injury. Jalen Hurts has been better this year than Wentz w a team that is an NFL best 11-1. Hurts should be at the top of every MVP conversation.

Hurts has made a huge jump in production this season.
Hurts In 2021 Versus 2022
In 2021, Hurts was in his first year as the Eagles’ full-time starter, playing all 16 games.
He threw for 3,144 yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
He also added 784 yards on the ground and contributed another 10 touchdowns via his legs.
Through 12 games this year, he is already closing in on those numbers and looks to shatter them as the year goes on.
So far, Hurts has thrown for 2,940 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just three interceptions.
In terms of the rushing attack, he has gained 609 yards and scored nine touchdowns as well.
Besides shattering his records, Hurts has also impressed when it comes to completion percentage.
His hyper-efficiency has led to a 68.1% completion rate, which is tied for fourth best in the NFL.
While other players are putting together impressive seasons, such as Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, Hurts’ name should be at the top of every MVP discussion.
The Eagles certainly wouldn’t be in the position that they in are without Hurts, and he will be instrumental in what looks to be a strong playoff run this season.
Will the Eagles be able to repeat their success in the 2018 Super Bowl run?
That remains to be seen.
They certainly have the talent to do so on both sides of the football.
