The New York Jets suffered their fourth straight loss on Thursday Night Football last night to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Unfortunately for the Jets, this loss likely sealed their fate as a non-playoff team.
One of the big reasons for their downfall this season has been second-year quarterback, Zach Wilson.
Zach Wilson’s time as the #Jets hopeful franchise quarterback ended Thursday night. He’s not the answer.
It’s rare a regime gets another chance after missing so wildly on their first.
Robert Saleh & Joe Douglas will.

As Connor Hughes highlights above, Wilson’s play has been uninspiring, and it has certainly caused the Jets to question their future, knowing Wilson will be at the helm.
In last night’s loss, Wilson threw just 19 passes, completing nine of them for 92 yards and one interception.
Wilson was benched for Chris Streveler, an NFL journeyman who has yet to start in the league.
What’s Next For The Jets?
While not yet mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, the Jets are already looking to 2023.
If the season were to end today, the Jets would have the 15th overall pick in next year’s draft.
The Jets could certainly improve their draft position if they lose their final two games of the season.
With Wilson being benched last night, and likely, for the rest of the season, they will seriously need to evaluate their process at quarterback.
Will they gamble at quarterback yet again in the draft?
Currently, the Jets have Mike White, Joe Flacco, and Chris Streveler on their depth chart at quarterback.
The chances that the Jets roll into 2023 with one of these three as their starter is unlikely, meaning that they will have to look elsewhere.
This season, the Jets have been held back by quarterback play, and cannot let that continue in 2023.
