The NFL’s 2022 regular season provided lots of ups and downs, and there were more than a handful of players that are deserving of league MVP consideration.
To a few NFL pundits, however, there is one clear choice in their minds.
Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has put an impressive season together.
"It's Patrick Mahomes' world and we're just living in it and he should ABSOLUTELY be your 2022 NFL MVP!"

As Adam Schein puts it, “It’s Patrick Mahomes’ world, and we’re just living in it.”
Indeed, we are.
Mahomes has put together one of the best individual seasons in recent memory and was one of the main reasons that the Chiefs were able to find great success this season, resulting in a first-round playoff bye, and home-field advantage in the playoffs.
He led the league in passing yards and touchdown passes and was among the league leaders in yards per passing attempt.
When the Chiefs traded star wide receiver Tyreek Hill in the offseason, many members of the NFL media said that Mahomes was due for massive regression and that he would suffer without a true number-one receiver.
Now, we certainly recognize Hill’s brilliance, and the Chiefs are certainly missing him from their roster.
However, great quarterbacks like Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers have an innate ability to scrape together a positive season with the offensive weapons that they have.
Mahomes continued to pepper Travis Kelce with targets this season, but also utilized running backs in the passing game, resulting in sustained success.
We’ll soon see if this Mahomes magic can continue in the postseason and lead the Chiefs to another Super Bowl title.
