The NFL‘s regular-season schedule for 2023 is set to be released on Thursday, and it promises to be loaded with key matchups and some historic rivalries and newer grudge matches.
The Kansas City Chiefs are likely to play at home in Week 1 and raise their championship banner commemorating their win in February’s Super Bowl, and the question now is who they will play in that contest.
NFL analyst Adam Schein says that his ideal opponent would be the Miami Dolphins since it would mark star wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s return to Kansas City while making him see his old teammates get their championship rings.

Hill played his first six seasons with the Chiefs, and he won a Super Bowl with them during the 2019 season, but the team shocked the league by trading him to Miami last offseason.
In his first season with the Dolphins, he established a career-high with 1,710 receiving yards and earned his seventh Pro Bowl nod while being named to the All-Pro first-team for the fourth time.
They had a frustrating 2022 campaign, going 9-8 while enduring multiple concussions to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but they have new hope for 2023.
They added veteran star cornerback Jalen Ramsey in an attempt to address a very poor pass defense, and thus they’re hoping to seriously compete for a spot in the Super Bowl this time around.
If Miami is to get there and have a shot at their first world championship since the early 1970s, they will likely have to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs at some point in the playoffs.
