The Seattle Seahawks were able to make the playoffs in 2022 despite the odds being stacked against them.
They traded away Russell Wilson and were left in the hands of Geno Smith, who was previously a career backup.
While Smith certainly played well enough to lead the Seahawks to the playoffs and win himself the Comeback Player of the Year award, there are still some doubters about his abilities as their starter moving forward.

Michael Robinson spent seven seasons in the NFL, playing for the San Francisco 49ers as well as the Seahawks.
He was a part of the Seahawks organization, and he played under Pete Carrol’s regime.
Despite reports from the team that they are confident in Smith going forward, Robinson isn’t quite sure of him in the long term.
He believes that, if Anthony Richardson is available, the Seahawks should draft him.
Richardson is a polarizing prospect in his own right, but he could benefit from sitting behind Smith for a season to learn the ropes of the NFL.
The NFL’s mold of quarterback is changing, and Richardson certainly isn’t a prototypical pocket passer.
During his time at the University of Florida, Richardson established himself as a mobile quarterback, having abilities to rush and pass effectively.
Whether the Seahawks will take a chance on a quarterback in the draft remains to be seen.
They do have two picks in the first round, the fifth and 20th overall.
