Jalen Brunson was clearly a star when he played for the Dallas Mavericks but he is proving he can be so much more now that he’s with the New York Knicks.
During his first season with the Knicks, Brunson has become a pivotal source of energy and skill that has lifted the spirits of Knicks fans everywhere.
The team still has its problems and its struggles but people love the idea of Brunson leading the squad for a long time to come.
Jalen Brunson has been on a tear lately🥵

Brunson has been good all season long but he’s been downright transcendent lately.
In his last 3 games, Brunson has been good for an average of 36 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6 assists a game.
His true shooting percentage has been 63.7% and he’s been good for 43.5% from the three-point line.
Plus, Brunson has set career-high point totals twice.
In other words, Brunson is shining brighter than ever before and is perhaps the most important man on the Knicks roster.
For the season, he is averaging 21.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, which is a major step up from his last season with the Mavericks, when he scored 16.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
When Brunson was sent to the Knicks, some speculated that perhaps he wasn’t ready to lead a team and was better suited to be Luka Doncic‘s right-hand man instead.
That clearly isn’t the case and Brunson has come into his own, showing that he’s not only ready to lead, but he’s excited to do so.
He plays relentless and fearless offense and is ready for a fight every night.
That is the exact sort of spirit and enthusiasm the Knicks need.
