The Boston Celtics have been in the headlines for the last week and not for the reasons they want.
Instead of people talking about their chances in the upcoming NBA season, all of the stories have revolved around the suspension of head coach Ime Udoka.
Following multiple inopportune injuries, the scandal around Udoka shook Boston up in the worst way.
And now the team is trying to move forward.

Interim head coach Joe Mazzulla opened up about the team’s mindset and goals during Boston’s media day.
“We have to start over again, develop a process and an identity,” Mazzulla said.
He mentioned that the team is starting from scratch as all teams have a record of 0-0 right now.
That means they aren’t defending Eastern Conference champions, they are just another team trying to claim dominance in the league.
This is a smart approach for Mazzulla and his team to take but they should never forget that a lot of attention will be on them in the weeks and months ahead.
Celtics Seeking Success
No matter how the team feels, millions of NBA fans are viewing them as the reigning Eastern Conference champions.
They are the team that was only two wins away from victory at the Finals and they were able to push past multiple huge teams in their conference.
That means that they are still viewed as one of the best teams in the league and expectations are high.
The Celtics will try to avoid all of that noise as the season starts and instead only focus on playing great basketball.
But there is no doubt that followers of the team are hoping for a lot this year.
