After a disappointing 4-13 season, the Arizona Cardinals moved on from their head coach and general manager.
Just over a week removed from the 2022 regular season, the Cardinals have hired a new GM, Monti Ossenfort.
In an introductory press conference, Ossenfort made the way that he wants the organization to be run abundantly clear.
Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort:
"Ego will not be tolerated in this organization."

Ossenfort could be referring to multiple players or personalities with the organization, but many have pointed to Kyler Murray as the main targeted recipient for his comments.
Murray was signed to a five-year, $230 million contract with the Cardinals in the offseason.
A part of his initial contract that was quickly redacted was a studying clause.
This clause made it a requirement for Murray to have dedicated study hours for their playbook, which was subjected to scrutiny from people across the league.
However, once it was redacted, many questioned the Cardinals’ intentions in the first place and wondered what Murray’s personality and working habits were like.
It appears that Ossenfort has no tolerance for egos or negative attitudes.
Although he is just 44 years old, Ossenfort has a 22-year history in the NFL, with much of his tenure coming as a scout for the New England Patriots.
Ossenfort has four Super Bowl rings to his name, being that he was a long-standing member of the Patriots organization.
While he doesn’t have any direct experience as a GM, Ossenfort’s no-nonsense mindset could be invaluable to the Cardinals, who have been in desperate need of a new leader.
