If the Brooklyn Nets hope to turn the season around and make a strong playoff run, they will need the team to be at 100 percent and that includes newcomer Ben Simmons, who was recently traded from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Nets vet Patty Mills says that is exactly what fans should be expecting and seems very confident that the best is yet to come.
Patty Mills says he sees a “fire” inside Simmons and is confident the Nets are getting a motivated version of an All-Star player who can still get much better. Mills said the Nets are still “100 percent” confident they can turn things around and win a title this year.

Mills said that there is a “fire” inside Simmons and that the team is receiving the top-of-the-line, All-Star-caliber version of the player they had hoped for.
Brooklyn fans are hoping that Mills is right because a lot is riding on it.
Busted Brooklyn
The last few weeks have been downright terrible for the Nets.
This is a team that many predicted would be sailing into the NBA Finals but they have been losing games left and right without Kevin Durant.
Other injuries and the on-again-off-again nature of Kyrie Irving have also hurt the team tremendously.
That’s why this Simmons trade has come at the perfect time.
If he’s in good form, Simmons will bring a lot of defense and youthful, powerful energy to the team.
He has gotten a lot of bad press lately so some people forget that Simmons really is a terrific basketball player at his core.
Mills is saying that that’s the version of Simmons that Brooklyn will see.
When you think about Simmons playing alongside Durant, Irving, Blake Griffin, and LaMarcus Aldridge, you can see how the Nets could still turn things around and become the fearsome squad they were always supposed to be.
All Brooklyn fans are eagerly waiting to see this “fire” that is inside of Simmons.
