Fans of the Dallas Mavericks are holding their breath until they get concrete news about Luka Doncic.
The Mavs superstar hurt himself on Sunday night in his final regular-season game.
Doctors think the Doncic has a strained left calf, which could possibly keep him on the bench for a couple of weeks.
Of course, this injury – no matter how minor – couldn’t have come at a worse time at the team is getting ready for a playoff run.
Luka Doncic will get an MRI on his strained left calf this afternoon, sources said. Mavs will know more about the severity of the injury at that point.

Doncic is scheduled to get an MRI on his calf on Monday afternoon.
After the MRI, the team will know a lot more about the severity of the injury and the plan forward.
Dallas fans have their fingers, toes, and any other limbs crossed hoping for good news.
The Loss Of Luka
The significance of Doncic on the Mavericks cannot be overstated.
He is easily the most vital part of the team: he makes the most points, calls the most shots, and nearly every possession runs through him at one point.
That doesn’t mean the Mavericks are incompetent without him – they have other valuable assets and have won games without Doncic leading them (although their 8-9 record without him is troubling).
However, Doncic has been working hard all season to get the team to this point.
They are finally ready to take on the playoffs in a better position than they have been in years.
The Mavericks are facing off against the Utah Jazz in the first round.
While the Jazz have their fair share of troubles, they will prove to be formidable as the postseason begins.
Yes, the Mavericks can win without Luka but it won’t be easy.
Everyone in Dallas is hoping that all Luka needs is a few days off his feet.
