You could sum up the last season for fans of the Los Angeles Lakers with just two words: not good.
Those loyal to the purple and gold were expecting a lot from LA – and why wouldn’t they?
The team had LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and other young guns ready to take on the Western Conference.
In the end, of course, the entire season was a disaster and the team didn’t even make the playoffs.

Now fans are hoping that next season is better than the last but what if it’s not?
When looking at the current roster for the Lakers, there aren’t many changes to note.
Of course, LA could still make huge alterations in the weeks to come but, as of now, the lineup looks an awful lot like the one they had last year.
And that’s a cause for serious concern.
Can They Change?
There are a few big things to keep in mind when worrying about the Lakers.
First, they have a new head coach who is well-respected and is taking a new approach to the team, even with a roster similar to last year’s.
Darvin Ham could truly be a huge difference-maker for LA.
Second, the team might still acquire Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets, which would radically change the personnel on the squad.
Third, they have acquired some young talented stars in the last few months.
These guys might not be ready to blow away other teams right away but they could soon become something special.
At the same time, some worry and fear is completely understandable right now.
Last season had a horrible impact on fans and they are dreading the thought of another one just like it.
