The Los Angeles Lakers played against the Utah Jazz on Monday night and, once again, they lost in a humiliating way.
LeBron James sat out of the game due to an injury and his team went on to lose 139-116 to the Jazz.
It was another very disappointing game for the Lakers but it also wasn’t surprising at all.
At this point, fans are just expecting the Lakers to keep getting worse as the season goes on.
There's no galaxy brain solution to the Lakers' problems.
They're either going to give up the two picks to put a coherent supporting cast around LeBron and AD or they aren't. It's that simple. There's no sidestepping that question.

NBA writer Sam Quinn got very real about the team and what they need to do.
He laid it out clearly, saying, “There’s no galaxy brain solution to the Lakers’ problems.”
He continued: “They’re either going to give up the two picks to put a coherent supporting cast around LeBron and AD or they aren’t. It’s that simple. There’s no sidestepping that question.”
Quinn is right: pretty much everyone has come to the conclusion that this team will not recover unless they make a huge move and trade away their draft picks.
Now the question is if they’ll do it.
The Lakers Lose Again
For the first few games, everyone was convinced that Russell Westbrook was the problem with the team.
But Westbrook has gotten much better coming off the bench (for example, he scored 22 points and 5 assists on Monday).
Fingers can’t be pointed at him anymore.
Instead, it’s become increasingly clear that this team just isn’t working as it is and some major changes need to be made.
And those changes can’t happen unless the front office makes peace with trading away the draft picks they’ve held closely for so long.
Furthermore, all the rest of the teams in the NBA know just how desperate the Lakers are now so no one is going to even talk about a possible trade unless the draft picks are included.
Things are looking bleak for the Lakers.
