After a brief return to the NBA earlier this season and then more time in the G League, former All-Star Isaiah Thomas has signed a new 10-day contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

His newest stint in the NBA could end up being his most important one yet as the Hornets struggle to regain their footing and make a push into the NBA playoffs.

Thomas, who has been on an offensive tear lately, could be a huge part of the Hornets’ success.

His never-give-up attitude and his insistence on playing the game without compromise sure is inspiring and it’s created quite a few reactions across the NBA world on Twitter.

It’s hard to find someone who isn’t rooting for him.

Thomas To Charlotte

Thomas’ new 10-day contract wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for his most recent explosion in the G League.

Throughout his time there, he has put up 42, 45, 33, and 46 points and was recently named the G League Player of the Week.

45 PTS (14/27 FG)
33 PTS, 7 AST

It is true that creating such numbers in the NBA will be hard but there is no doubt that Thomas is fired up and ready to go.

He might not be creating 40+ points with the Hornets, but Charlotte should expect a lot of offensive help off the bench with Thomas.

Some on Twitter are pointing out that he is a product of a different NBA era.

They say that this will help Thomas as he forges ahead with the Hornets.

Isaiah Thomas has scored 91 points over his last 2 games in the G-League 🤦🏽‍♂️

People don’t realize how easy todays basketball is for a guy like this who emerged in the pre analytics, spaced out, up and down NBA. pic.twitter.com/hxkr1NBjV8

Others are celebrating him because of his attitude and dedication to the game.

There were many times when Thomas could have thrown in the towel or played overseas.

However, he never did and knew his time in the NBA would come again.

Isaiah Thomas is the definition of NEVER GIVE UP!!!! Never making excuses! Always working and staying locked in on his goal playing in the NBA! Sending positive vibrations your way!! Continue to break barriers.🔐@isaiahthomas #NBA

Thomas’ new 10-day contract shows that he will never lose belief in himself – and we shouldn’t either.
