Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors loves to stir the pot and create controversy.
He’s done it before many times with his brash attitude, colorful statements, and in-your-face persona.
But now he’s getting people talking for a particular price point.
Green is asking for a huge payout from the Warriors and it’s got fans very animated and opinionated.

He is asking for a maximum contract extension from the Warriors, despite diminished output recently and his age.
Apparently, the Warriors aren’t too keen on the idea of giving Green what he wants.
You can’t blame them: they’d have to put up more than $160 million if they agreed to a max deal.
NBA Twitter lit up when news of Green’s demand leaked.
And most of the responses were not positive.
In The Green
Some people were very straightforward and frank about their opinions of Green and his monetary demands.
Nobody should be offering Draymond Green a max contract when he hits the market. Nobody.

One Twitter user put it simply: “Nobody should be offering Draymond Green a max contract when he hits the market. Nobody.”
Well, that’s direct.
if the warriors want to replace draymond green with another guy who can hit one, maybe 2 threes over the course of 6 games, i'm happy to offer my services for half his salary

Meanwhile, other people are using this as an opportunity to dunk on Green and his recent troubles on the court, offering to play instead of Green if the Warriors are desperate to replace him.
Finally, others are stating just how silly it would be for Golden State to give Green a whole lot of cash over young up-and-comers like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins.
Draymond is really trying to convince people that communicating on defense and doing some dirty work warrants hundreds of millions of dollars

Right now, we don’t know what the front office will do.
Apparently, Green is willing to discuss the deal and work something out.
He better be because right now he is not going to get his way.
