The Denver Nuggets agreed to trade Bol Bol to the Detroit Pistons this week in a bit of news that was not of great importance to NBA fans.

That has changed Thursday because the trade is off.

Bol reportedly failed his physical in Detroit, even though he has been healthy all season.

Denver's Bol Bol trade with Detroit has been voided, sources tell ESPN. The Pistons didn't pass Bol on his physical with team.

This is a shock and creates an awkward situation for Bol as the Nuggets have already moved on.

The news is a huge trend Thursday afternoon and has the entire NBA world reacting.

Dang. Bol Bol just can’t catch a break. https://t.co/B0xhtkh94Z

The former top NBA prospect is now set to either return to Denver, or remain on the market.

Either the Nuggets were hiding some injury news, or the Pistons found something new during the physical.

Regardless, Bol can’t seem to find any luck in the NBA.

He was all set to get more playing time in Detroit before this bad news.

free bol bol‼️ idc where he go, denver don’t appreciate him https://t.co/UG7gtsokkG

if nobody wants bol bol at least i want bol bol

— von 💫 (@notCalebYRN) January 13, 2022

So what are the Nuggets going to do with him now?

That is tough to answer, because other NBA teams may not even want to set up a deal if he failed the physical in Detroit.

But Denver will surely keep trying if they already decided he has no role on the team moving forward.

#Knicks its time to double up and bring Bol Bol to NYC too #nyk @nyknicks

Bol Bol on the market tho ..maybe Noel for Bol 👀

hornets if Bol Bol is healthy please give this guy a chance.. he was unstoppable in college an high-school

— kingveteran78 (@kingveteran78) January 13, 2022

Bol was initially seen as a top draft prospect in 2019, yet he ended up sliding all the way down to pick No. 44 overall.

He has rarely gotten playing time in the NBA and has thus not been able to show what he can do.

Nuggets tried to pull a fast one with Bol Bol

This intrigues and confuses me. Bol Bol has been injury free, but Detroit didn’t pass him on his physical. Reportedly, Rodney McGruder has already practiced with the Nuggets. And someone else has already worn Bol’s no. 10 jersey since the trade. What? https://t.co/6R07MKsXU3

Lakers need to send a 2nd rounder for Bol Bol & cut DJ or Bazemore https://t.co/upDnNrZC5U

Bol went from being forgotten about in Denver to a top headline.

His hope now has to be that all the attention on him leads to a team taking a chance, even if there are medical concerns.
