One thing that’s constant about the NBA is that things are always changing.
It’s true that trades are constantly looming for nearly every team in the league – and at any moment your favorite squad could suddenly look radically different.
While some trades are very surprising, others aren’t that shocking at all.
There are certain people in the league who just seem destined to be sent to another team, due to outrageous contracts, personality issues, or troubling player dynamics.
Here are just a couple of NBA stars who seem on the verge of changing their colors very soon.
2. Ben Simmons
This one shouldn’t surprise anyone: the Philadelphia 76ers will definitely trade Ben Simmons.
In fact, this trade isn’t a matter of if but when.
Simmons hasn’t been playing with the team since summer when he made it abundantly clear that he didn’t want to be a 76er anymore.

Since then, the squad has had its fair share of troubles – they could certainly use the defensive power that Simmons brings.
But one thing has become very clear: Simmons will not suit up for Doc Rivers‘ team ever again and they have moved on beyond him.
The only thing slowing down this blockbuster trade from Philly is finding a home that will pay what the 76ers want.
Make no mistake: they are not going to give away Simmons for nothing.
Will he head to Portland or LA or Cleveland?
It all depends on which team is willing to put up the most assets to replace him.
The truth is that Simmons would fit well on a number of NBA teams and anyone that says otherwise doesn’t truly understand what he’s capable of.
Simmons is going to play for another team – and he might be a huge benefit to them – it just is a question of which one.
1. Buddy Hield
Buddy Hield has been doing some impressive work for the Sacramento Kings but it looks like it’s time for him to move on and try his luck on greener pastures.
He has been inconsistent at times (especially lately) and still has a lot of growth for progress but there’s no mistaking the raw talent the guy has.
The problem is that the Kings are a guard-heavy team so they don’t really need what Hield brings.
But other teams do: at his best, Hield is a lights-out perimeter shooter.
#Kings have made guard Buddy Hield available, league sources say. Hield’s 3-point shooting (40 percent career) and overall scoring ability could be a huge boost to a contending team searching for added floor spacing. I’m told the asking price is hefty, but feasible.

He needs some coaching and some refining of skills but it’s completely reasonable to imagine that Hield could become one of the best three-point shooters in the league within just a few more years, given the right staff and team.
There is a slew of teams who would be wise to trade for Hield.
In fact, many Lakers fans are upset that LA decided to bet it all on Russell Westbrook instead of Hield in the offseason and are hoping that the Lakers’ front office remedies that situation as soon as possible.
Ironically, LA is a rumored home for either Simmons or Hield, which just goes to show how coveted these two guys are…and how troubled the Lakers are currently too.
