The NBA Draft is on Thursday night and every basketball fan is wondering just who will go as the top pick in this year’s rookie class.

Of course, no one knows for sure but speculation is running rampant across the league as the teams settle on their choices and make plans for their future.

It’s assumed that Paolo Banchero, Chet Holmgren, and Jabari Smith will be the top three selections in the draft, although the order they go in isn’t set in stone.

In fact, the betting odds for the top choices have been fluctuating wildly all day in the hours leading up to the draft.

In the span of just one hour, the odds for Smith to be the top pick went from -6000 to -1300.

Just hours before, he was sitting at -10000.

Yes, things are changing a lot but one thing is becoming more and more clear: Smith seems to be the favorite to go at the top spot.

It’s Magic Time

No matter who the number one selection is, we know he will be playing for the Orlando Magic, infusing even more youth and energy into the troubled team.

Will it be Smith, Holmgren, or Banchero who soon calls Orlando home?

It’s hard to tell but it looks increasingly likely that Smith will get that honor.

These changes in the betting odds are nothing new, the hours before each year’s draft are filled with a lot of speculation and rumors, causing anxiety among fans and especially the rookies.

However, things are usually a little more settled at this point so it’s fascinating to see opinions change the closer the draft gets.

There’s only one way to find out the eventual pick by Orlando and that’s by watching the draft on Thursday night.
