This NBA season has been full of ups and downs for the Indiana Pacers.
The team has shown some promise but it also suffered some major setbacks too.
Perhaps the biggest moment of the season came when the team traded away one of its brightest stars, Domantas Sabonis.
However, Indiana got some great players in return, landing Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson.
But the season hasn’t really turned around since then and the team is now 13th in the East with a record of 25-50.
This has all occurred without one of the team’s most valuable players, Myles Turner.
Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner — out since mid-January with a left foot stress reaction — will miss the rest of the season, sources tell ESPN. Turner has made good progress in his recovery, but the Pacers have only seven games left and will miss the playoffs.

Turner has been out for months due to a left foot stress reaction and now we have some insight into his possible return.
Adrian Wojnarowski says that Turner will not play for the rest of the season, which is not really surprising in the slightest given the team’s rough season.
Now it’s time for fans of the Pacers to look ahead to next year.
Powerful Pacers
There is a chance that next season could actually be a special one for the Pacers.
With that young talent they secured from the Sacramento Kings – along with a returning Turner – they could be quite fierce.
There is also a chance that the Pacers will make some more moves in the offseason.
That wouldn’t be shocking because Indiana’s plans to dismantle and rebuild its team have been one of the worst-kept secrets in the NBA for months now.
No one within the organization really thought this season would be a good one for the team.
Instead, it was always seen as a necessary step along the way to a brighter future.
Will that brighter future begin next season when Turner returns?
