The Brooklyn Nets signing former Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons was definitely one of the biggest trades of the season and a huge headline.
Simmons for James Harden was a massive deal and could ultimately shake up the Eastern Conference and, honestly, the rest of the entire league.
However, we haven’t been able to see the results of the trade yet, as both Harden and Simmons are sidelined by injuries and haven’t made debuts on their new teams yet.
But it looks like Simmons might be getting ready to finally take the floor with his new Brooklyn teammates.

Simmons is nearing his debut with the team, according to reports inside the league.
In fact, the star defensive player plans to “really ramp it up” this week in preparation for a return to the rotation.
What Simmons Brings
Simmons has a bad rap around the league because of the way things went down with the 76ers.
Indeed, it wasn’t a great look for him and made him appear selfish and self-centered.
But if you look beyond all of that you see a basketball player who definitely has room for improvement, but who also has a lot of strong attributes.
He is particularly good when it comes to defense, something the Nets could definitely use help with.
If Simmons is inspired and excited to play, he could be a huge asset to the team.
That’s exactly what the Nets are hoping for – they see him as the key to having a well-balanced, powerful team on both sides of the floor.
They need that more than ever because since Kevin Durant has exited the team due to injury, the team has collapsed and is barely surviving inside the Eastern Conference.
A return of Durant, more Kyrie Irving, and Simmons finally suiting up could change all of that.
