It’s only been a couple of days since news leaked that the Utah Jazz are open to the idea of trading Donovan Mitchell.
Despite that short amount of time, the wheels are seemingly already turning and we are hearing about a potential deal in the works.
Things move quickly when a legitimate NBA superstar is on the trading block.

It is now being reported that the Jazz and New York Knicks have started discussions about a Mitchell trade.
It remains to be seen what the package would look like and how real it is but just the fact that the two sides are talking is a big deal.
Are Mitchell’s days in Utah coming to an end?
Mitchell Moving On
It’s interesting to hear that the Jazz and Knicks are talking because we know that Utah is asking for a lot.
They were content to sticking with Mitchell for the foreseeable future unless a great package with a lot of assets was put before them.
So that makes one wonder what the Knicks are willing to offer?
You can expect that if this deal comes to fruition, it’ll likely include someone like RJ Barrett or even Julius Randle.
But how would Mitchell fit into the team that the Knicks are building?
They just acquired Jalen Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks, an up-and-coming guard who will likely dictate the pace of the team.
Mitchell alongside him could be great…but it could be bad too.
Both of those players are infamous for some weak defensive skills at time, meaning the Knicks could be improving their offense while impairing their defense.
The Knicks obviously want Mitchell and you can’t blame them but it’s far too early to know if their dreams will be realized.
