The Toronto Raptors looked far ahead of schedule in terms of their rebuild last season.
They managed to compete for a spot in the playoffs despite featuring mostly young players.
Fast forward to today, and it seems like their veterans are no longer on the same page with the front office, and with them being fairly inconsistent for most of the season, some analysts believe Masai Ujiri will clean house before the trade deadline.
Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and Gary Trent Jr. have been tied with a potential exit from the Canadian side.
However, it’s been OG Anunoby the one to gauge the most league-wide interest thus far.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks have already reached out to the Raptors to inquire about Anunoby.
He’d provide some much-needed defensive grit and athleticism for two teams desperately craving a wing-stopper.

While he hasn’t made the headlines for his much-improved offensive play, Anunoby is one of the best and most versatile defenders in the Association, even becoming one of the top-five candidates to win Defensive Player of the Year honors.
The word around the league is that the Raptors could get at least three first-round picks for the 25-year-old forward, who’s in the second season of a four-year extension he signed with the Canadian team.
The Raptors will try and gauge as many first-round picks as they can for their stars before the trade deadline as they try to build around reigning Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes.
