The drama between the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant was reignited the other day when it was revealed that Durant had a meeting with top Nets brass and once again made it clear that he wants to leave.
In fact, he gave an ultimatum: he said either trade me to another team or fire head coach Steve Nash and General Manager Sean Marks.
So far, Brooklyn hasn’t done a single thing in response although owner Joe Tsai publicly put his support behind the coaching staff, suggesting that Durant won’t get his way.

We don’t know if Brooklyn will give into Durant’s demand for a trade, but if they do, one team is emerging as a front-runner to land him.
Shams Charania says that the Boston Celtics are now a “leading team” for Durant “when you look at the pieces that they have.”
Those pieces include big trade assets such as Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart as well as some major future draft picks too.
So the Celtics apparently have the most pieces to land Durant, but will they?
Durant In Bean Town?
Durant to the Celtics would be a gigantic move and one that would radically shake up both the Celtics and the Nets.
Both teams would get some things they want: the Celtics would have Durant, one of the best players alive, and the pairing of him with Jayson Tatum could be truly tantalizing.
As for the Nets, they would have a few of the best supporting players in the league as well as draft picks that could get them even stronger.
But will this actually happen?
So far, everything related to Durant has been all talk, all drama, no progress.
The Celtics might have the best chance to get Durant but that doesn’t mean they’ll take it.
